Safety Observations

This picture is posted for learning purposes only

Please share your observations in the comment box what safety measures should be consdierd.  I am writing some observations about what measures should be taken if you want to add observation please write on the comment box.
HSE is always a learning process, please add my observations and some points too.

Apologies that picture was not giving all sides views

1. There is no issue standing on the spherical load unless there are anti-slip resistant safety shoes are in place or in use

2. There is no issue or objection using auxiliary Hook for loading unless it is within Safe working load limit and as per rules.

3. Temporary storage yards can be made with proper precautions and necessary arrangements and temporary means a decided time frame.

4 There is no issue at all if crane boom is in height crane should be stable inspected rigging slings of crane work within Safe Working Load and with competent persons.

Please add my observations as well to your ones

A.  No one should be allowed to stand work within suspended load once the load is lifted from the point of lifting. (Note there is no one under the load)

B.  There is always a chance of mistake and airspeed or strong air blow so there is a tendency that this spherical load can be swing and touch or hit that workers. Crane operator can also make mistake by making a wrong move so all leads that worker should not be in the moving load radius.

C. There is a tag line but it is knotted at the wrong place, It should always be good in length normally 6 meters or more than 6 meters and it should always be knotted with load corner, not with the lifting belt.

Some of the issues which need to be considered

In indoor MEWPs should always have a banksman or guide man.
Proper Use of Safety belt full-body harness or PFAS to avoid fall in case of sudden brake jerk emergency collision.
No heavy material should be placed in a cage bucket especially not to be extended from MEWP Body.
Safe Distance between One MEWP to another.
Proper ventilation of inlet of fresh air and outlet if MEWPs are of a diesel-run type.
Approved Corrugated sheets or specific safety net as per nature of work to be installed around the cage bucket at least three (3) sides to avoid falling of equipment.
Mewps should always be checked before the start of work specially the emergency button.

Inspected Machines and approved operators only.
