How to Work in Confined Space with Safety

In some last year, a major incident in UAE was in Abu Dhabi oil and gas field was related to confined space in remote villages incident happen especially during water well boring or cleaning in 2017, 5 people died in Jand Attock village due to carbon mono oxide accumulation.

In 2019 Dry dock Dubai 4 people burn of my company due to blast in confined space. In dewan Cement Pakistan I think 2015 or 2016, 5 6 Chinese and Pakistani technicians and engineers burn to death in such space.  People working in the mining sector Bulchistan many times died to gas accumulation. 

There are normally 2 types of Confined space, 

General confined space and confined space with hazardous gases Will explain some of my experience related to sandblasting and painting field confined space, oil and gas as well before that for your eyes copying an article down here to read.

Depending on my experience confined space there should always be one entry kept for emergencies and one entry to be used normally.

The things which are not mentioned on PTW which should be the time being consumed by an individual in confined space and interval time.

For Hazardous confined space working conditions or rescue procedures, SABA or SCBA can be used

There are different brands and different timing durations for these from 15 mints to 1 hour,

The SABA and SCBA should be used with D grade air which is standardized air to be used for them

For rescue or operation work in Confined can be used with compressor lifeline same with equipped graded air and carbon mono oxide detector keeping in view the lifeline of compressor connected with SABA or SCBA should not make any tripping hazard or further more issues, SABA and SCBA have an alarm system as well

Training should be done to use these items in emergency best time is one minute to be equipped on the human back and make it operational

Some time confined space should be treated with purging as well
